High Park is an alluring neighbourhood in the West End of Old Toronto. You will be delighted by High Park’s stately Oak trees, graceful hills, and long meandering streets. Best of all the zoo is free of charge – although there are donation boxes if you’re in the giving mood. Children won’t want to miss the famous Jamie Bell Adventure Park, located near the Duck Pond. The adventure park has castles, swings, ladders, ropes, slides and more and is quite possibly the largest outdoor park for children in Ontario. Parents just might have fun too!

There are also great eateries throughout High Park such as the highly rated Café Palonez which boasts generous portion sizes of Polish and Eastern European food. Don’t forget to check out The Grenadier Restaurant where you can eat outside and enjoy breakfast all day. After your meal, head north to the High Park Labyrinth or go paddle boarding on the Humber River to burn off the lunch calories. The High park stretch of Bloor St West is one of the hippest in the city and offers a perfect combination of gastro delights and shopping pleasures.
