YORKVILLE

Yorkville is a part of “The Annex” neighbourhood of Toronto, which is one of Canada’s most well known shopping districts. Although this quaint area has a bustling shopping reputation, this area also has one of the lowest crime rates in Canada. Yorkville real estate is always in high demand, making the turnover of homes very low, so when something does come up for sale you need to move fast! Real estate values are flourishing, and you get both beautiful Victorian-style houses and luxury condominiums to choose from – what could be better?

Yorkville is ideally situated right in the middle of everything, with great stuff to do in every direction. There are plenty of outstanding local restaurants for people of every taste! There is the Sushi Inn, which is a highly rated sushi house that offers delivery as well. Dimmi Trattoria offers one of the best Margherita pizzas in the city, Trattoria Nervosa sports a killer rooftop patio, and the notorious Hemingways is the perfect place to escape for an ice cold pint in a charmingly dive bar like setting.

The nightlife is undeniably exciting in trendy Yorkville. You can visit the Panorama Lounge and enjoy their delicious cocktails while enjoying the amazing view of the city from the 51st floor. There are multiple other spots to fritter away the weekend at – including dancing the night away at the bustling Epique Lounge or enjoying a more relaxing environment of wine tasting at Ciao Wine Bar. Rightfully known for the great shopping, Yorkville boasts a large number of high end boutiques and other shops for people with any shopping taste. This neighbourhood is flourishing with dozens of high-end boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Ferrari, and many more. Yorkville is even home to the first five star hotel of Canada, The Hazelton Hotel. There are plenty of parks and activities for the kids too! There’s the Toronto Music Garden, which is open year round, and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) with it’s world class exhibits. Last but certainly not least is the world famous Toronto Film Festival, which attracts all the biggest stars in the world and makes Yorkville the center of the universe for 2 weeks every September.

Although Yorkville has such star power and a busy shopping district, don’t think this isn’t a quiet, peaceful place to call home. There is a gradual change in the district from commercial to residential, and many of the homes here date back to when the town was founded in the 1880’s and are still in the same family generations later. Yorkville is the perfect place to raise a family, and the local school (Hillmount Public School) has won multiple awards awards and ranks as one of the best in Ontario. Beauty and brains, what a combo!
